Dear Avon Public School Families,

I hope this letter finds you well and enjoying your summer. There have been some changes in the School Nutrition Program since the end of School Year 2025/2026. We are transitioning back to Free Breakfast for All Students Program. Students who qualify for reduced meals will also receive Free Lunch. Students who do not qualify for Free or Reduced priced meals must pay for their lunch.  It is very important that there are funds on account or students pay at the time of their purchase to avoid negative debt.

Healthy snacks and beverages will be available for purchase at secondary schools with limited choices at the elementary level. Students will be able to purchase these items if their accounts are in good standing without a negative balance.

*It is very important that families who are eligible based on household income for free and reduced meals apply annually. We have implemented an online system to streamline the application process. Families can now apply online by clicking this link: This will be available 8/20/2026

Families who may qualify for Free or Reduced benefits must apply.

●Families who are receiving assistance through the SNAP or TFA programs do not need to apply.  You will receive a confirmation letter by the end of August.

●Families who feel their income would not qualify for assistance do not need to apply.

Avon Public Schools offers MySchoolBucks, a convenient online service that allows you to securely pay for your student’s meals and set up optional automatic payments online using your credit/debit card or electronic check. Avon Public Schools also accepts cash and personal checks made out the Avon Nutrition Services.

We continue to use the MySchoolBucks payment system if you would like to add funds to your student's account or create a new account. The information for MySchoolBucks can be found by clicking this link. It will no longer be necessary for you to pre-order your student's meals. The menus and nutritional information can be found on Nutrislice. You can access Nutrislice via the district website and by adding the app to your phone.

Free and Reduced Applications

If you feel you may be eligible for continued free or reduced meals for the upcoming school year, fill out an application for free or reduced meals if you may be eligible.
