2026–2027 School Nutrition Program Information

Dear Avon Public School Families,

I hope this letter finds you well and enjoyed your summer. As we start the 2026–2027 school year, we would like to share important information about the Avon Public Schools School Nutrition Program.

We are pleased to continue offering free breakfast to all students at all schools. In addition, students who are approved for free or reduced-price meals will receive lunch at no cost. Students who do not qualify for free or reduced-price meals must pay for lunch. It is important that families maintain sufficient funds in their student’s meal account or have students pay at the time of purchase to avoid a negative account balance.

2026–2027 Meal Prices

Healthy snacks and beverages will be available for purchase at the secondary schools, with limited choices available at the elementary level. Students may purchase these items as long as their meal accounts are in good standing and do not have a negative balance.

Free and Reduced-Price Meal Applications

Families who may be eligible for free or reduced-price meals based on household income must apply annually. Avon Public Schools has implemented an online system to make the application process easier and more convenient.

Please note:

• Families who may qualify for free or reduced-price meals must apply.
• Families who receive assistance through the SNAP or TFA programs do not need to apply. These families will receive a confirmation letter by the end of August.
• Families who determine that their household income does not qualify for assistance do not need to apply.

Managing Your Student’s Meal Account

Avon Public Schools offers MySchoolBucks, a convenient online service that allows families to securely pay for student meals and set up optional automatic payments using a credit/debit card or electronic check. Additional information is available on the Avon Nutrition Services MySchoolBucks webpage .

Avon Public Schools also accepts cash and personal checks made payable to Avon Nutrition Services.

We continue to use the MySchoolBucks payment system if you would like to add funds to your student's account or create a new account. The information for MySchoolBucks can be found by clicking this link. It will no longer be necessary for you to pre-order your student's meals. The menus and nutritional information can be found on Nutrislice. You can access Nutrislice via the district website and by adding the app to your phone.

Free and Reduced Applications

If you feel you may be eligible for continued free or reduced meals for the upcoming school year, fill out an application for free or reduced meals if you may be eligible.
