 Welcome to the Avon Public Schools! 

On behalf of the entire school district community, we are very pleased to welcome you and your family to the Avon Public Schools.  We are certain that you will find your experience in our schools to be positive, productive and energizing.  We value you and most especially, your child(ren) as being the sole focus of our work. 

The Avon Public Schools is fortunate to have a very talented faculty and staff at all levels who are committed to meeting the needs of all children in many exciting and innovative ways. 

To register your child(ren) in the Avon Public Schools, grades K-12, you need to complete the documents in the registration packet and then register your child(ren) in person at the Avon Board of Education Building located at 34 Simsbury Road, Avon, Connecticut.  The registration packet is available on-line (click on files in the virtual backpack at the bottom of this page) or at the Avon Board of Education building.  The packet includes:

•           Kindergarten & First Grade Entrance Age Requirements

Kindergarten Registration Time for Avon Residents

Children whose 5th birthday falls on or before December 31, 2013 are eligible to attend kindergarten in the 2013-2014 school year.

Parents of eligible preschoolers are asked to register their child no later than Friday, March 15, 2013. Registration information and the necessary forms are available on the district website.

Kindergarten parent orientation meetings will take place at Roaring Brook School on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. (snow date Thursday, March 7) and at Pine Grove School on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. (snow date Thursday, March 14).
