OFFICE OF THE SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS Avon Public Schools 34 SIMSBURY ROAD AVON, CONNECTICUT 06001 TEL: (860) 404-4700 firstname.lastname@example.org Gary S. Mala SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS Weekly Message May 16, 2014 Dear Avon Parents and Residents: It is with much gratitude and appreciation that I send this message to thank you for your support of the 2014-2015 budget. As I am sure you are aware, the Town of Avon budget, which includes the Board of Education operating budget, was passed at referendum this past Wednesday evening. As the work in schools concludes for this school year over the next few weeks, we look forward with optimism for all that will be made possible during the next school year. The approved budget continues to support a number of initiatives that contribute greatly to our excellent public school system and the students whom we have the responsibility to serve. We are fortunate to realize that public education and the numerous town services offered in Avon are valuable resources to our community. As always, should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at (860) 404-4700. Thank you for your support of the Avon public schools and all of us who serve the needs of students and families each day. I remain very truly yours, Gary Gary S. Mala Superintendent of Schools
