Friends of Avon Music Education

Friends of Avon Music Education (F.A.M.E.) is a music and theater booster club at Avon High School which supports each of the music disciplines along with the theater department. Our organization was founded in 1996 by a group of parents who were interested in supporting the AHS music program. F.A.M.E. has contributed to the funding of:
  • Chorus risers, recording equipment, Band instruments and a sound system
  • Acoustic shell
  • Concert attire
  • Funding for clinicians and performers
  • Enrollment fees for the Jazz Band to participate in regional competitions
  • Partial purchase of two basses for our growing strings program
  • Sectional instruction for Bands and Orchestra
  • Accompanist for Choirs
  • Percussion storage cabinet
  • Receptions following concerts
  • Annual scholarships to graduating seniors who have demonstrated excellence in their musical pursuits
  • NEW! Dollars for Scholars F.A.M.E. scholarship award given to a student who has consistently demonstrated passion and dedication to Music throughout his or her high school experience
For the past 8 years, Avon High School was chosen to host Northern Regional Auditions and we did so again this year.
Come join us! All F.A.M.E. meetings are held in the Chorus room at 7:00 pm, usually on the 4th Monday of the month, and can be found on the school calendar. Any changes or cancellations will be communicated by email and on the AHS daily updates.
